Penis size can be a sensitive issue for many men. Surgery, pills, traction devices and injections are all methods used to enlarge the penis, but these methods are generally only useful for men who have had a penis trauma or a medical disorder that affects the function of the penis. A man’s limb has important functions and complex anatomy, which means that enlargement is difficult and risky.
In this article, we will look at which treatment provides the best result. Be curious.
Surgical interventions involve dangers
Complex structures within the penis enable it to perform its main functions – urination and ejaculation:
- The urea transports urine from the bladder. It is a thin tube that runs through the entire penis and transports urine out of the bladder. The urethra is part of the corpus spongiosum that turns into the glans penis or the helmet of the penis.
- The erection body is also called corpus cavernosum. It fills quickly with blood to achieve an erection before ejaculation.
- The corpus cavernosum surrounds the corpus spongiosum, extends from just behind the glans to the pelvis and is divided into two chambers that attach to the right and left ischial tuberosity (the bone on which men sit).
Any procedure that focuses on making the penis larger can damage these structures and possibly lead to sexual dysfunction, difficulty urinating, blood flow problems and other side effects in the best way.
What penis enlargement methods are there?
There are several options offered to men who are dissatisfied with the size of their penis. While these can be tempting if you want to enlarge your penis, you should know that most methods do not help you achieve the results you are aiming for.
1. Products to be applied to the skin
You can see advertisements for lotions, creams or oils with claims to penis enlargement. Products that you can apply to your penis may contain hormones, blood flow enhancing medications, oils or herbs, or vitamins. There is no evidence that a topical product can increase the size of your penis, and some can cause a skin reaction or irritation.
There are physical exercises that have been used for penis enlargement. One idea behind these exercises is that repeated rubbing of the penis could increase blood flow, which was considered as a possible way to enlarge the penis.
A special technique called Jelqing involves massaging the penis as if you were milking it to increase blood flow. There is no physical activity, including any that have been shown to produce positive results in lengthening or thickening. In fact, rough training can lead to injury or scarring.
3. Dietary supplements
There are many companies that are trying to sell pills to improve penis size. At best, they won’t affect you at all. At worst, they may contain drugs like sildenafil, which can be dangerous for men with heart disease.
Most dietary supplements increase nitric oxide levels such as L-citrulline or L-arginine, which can improve blood flow to the penis. While this may improve the erection and make it longer and thicker, it does not really increase the size of the penis.
4. Jelqing devices, clamps & rings
Products that wrap around the penis and exert a kind of pressure are advertised as methods of stretching. penis rings, for example, are recommended for use during an erection to make the erection appear larger and harder due to increased blood congestion.
The rationale for the use of these products is based on the idea that the narrowing of the skin and structures of the penis could allow a lengthening. A type of clamp with rollers is also marketed for use during belching.
There is no evidence that clamping the penis prolongs it permanently. These supposed aids can interrupt the blood supply and cause side effects or even permanent damage.
5. Penis extender
There has never been a legal device for penis enlargement, but devices that allow men to attach weights to their penises for the purpose of stretching a couple of centimeters more are advertised.
A medical device called an extender can improve penis length in men with Peyronie’s disease, which is a change in the size or shape of the penis due to injury, but this device has not been studied in men without Peyronie’s disease.
However, there are some interviews with doctors or experienced users who swear by the use of such an extender.
6. The vacuum pump
Penis pumps are placed over the penis with the idea that vacuum induced pulling can lengthen and thicken the penis.
There is no evidence that a vacuum pump can do this, and there is also a risk of injury. As an erection aid or as a toy for sexual stimulation, however, such a pump can be used sensibly.
7. Surgical interventions
There are no approved surgical treatments for penis enlargement, but this has not prevented patients and surgeons from continuing the procedures anyway. (1)
Penis implants are used in men with impotence, but they do not make the penis larger. Implant surgeons are limited by the length of the penis. Surgeons have tried to lengthen the corpora cavernosa to place a larger implant, but they have not been able to restore urethra and spongiosum.
Alternatively, plastic surgery has tried to cut off the ligaments that hold the penis anchored to the pubic bone. This operation causes the sagging penis to fall deeper but does not really lengthen the entire penis. If the penis is lowered, it may look larger, but it will also be less stable during sexual intercourse. (2)
In another type of surgery, an attempt is made to retract the skin of the penis and wrap artificial or biological tissue around it to increase its circumference. Men can get severe scars from this surgery, which narrow the penis and make sexual intercourse more difficult. (3)
Some men receive injections of their own fat, hyaluronic acid or synthetic material to increase the thickness of the penis shaft. It is unclear whether such an injection is safe and it has not been proven that injections can increase penis size. And as with the other procedures, this will not improve the function of the penis.
Particularly brave men try it themselves by injecting of various oils (such as coconut oil) and other materials (such as silicone or a saline solution), usually without medical supervision. These strategies can cause extremely dangerous inflammations and infections, and there is no evidence that they work.
When is the penis too small at all?
Laut of a study, the average erect penis is 13.12 cm long.
The male genitalia appears in all shapes and sizes – the differences can be serious.
A study in 2014, in which 15,521 men from all over the world participated, showed this:
- The average flabby penis was 9.16 cm long and 9.31 cm in girth.
- The average erect penis was 13,12 cm long and 11,66 cm thick.
The authors estimate that 5 percent of men have an erect penis longer than 16 cm. In another 5 percent of cases, the erect penis would be shorter than about 10 cm.
When a penis is really too small is in the eye of the beholder. The fact is that women always consider a larger penis to be more attractive and men feel more male. In actual practice – i.e. during sex – even a smaller penis is sufficient to satisfy the partner.
Average sizes from all over the world
The following info table shows how the average penis size varies from country to country. The length was measured in flaccid state and men were examined who were satisfied with their penis size and did not have operative penis enlargement performed:

What you can do
The penis grows during puberty in response to a testosterone hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Men continue to produce DHT throughout life, but the penis stops growing towards the end of puberty. Flaccid penis size may decrease with age. These are natural changes that are simply a fact of life.
While you can’t easily enlarge your penis, there are a few strategies that can make it appear larger.
- Reduce body fat: If you are overweight, these extra pounds can make your penis appear smaller. Weight loss can make your penis appear relatively larger.
- Stay in shape: A muscular physique can enhance this visual effect and make you feel safer about the size of your penis.
- Maintain your pubic area: If you shave part of the hair around the penis, the penis may appear larger.

For several reasons, many men overestimate the size of the average penis, which can make them feel dissatisfied with their own. There are many factors related to sexual arousal, and the penis size itself does not make it more or less likely to be aroused or have sex.
But the pressure from society is great and the fears that arise from it play a role that should not be underestimated:
10 percent of men who underestimate their own penis size suffer from erectile dysfunction, regardless of whether the penis is smaller or larger than average.
The question is now: How will these men be happy again?</block rate>
If you are concerned about erectile dysfunction, you should consult your doctor or a specialist clinic. Changes in lifestyle and in case of doubt medical treatment can help.
However, if you are a healthy man who simply wants to enlarge his penis, remember that there are no safe and effective methods to do this.
Save your money by avoiding products that promise something else and go to a sex doctor near you to discuss your concerns.
In the end, however, even medicine does not provide a reliable, safe means of penis enlargement.
